Who can receive a free cloth diaper kit?

Parents or caregivers in Marion or Polk County, Oregon can apply to receive a cloth diaper kit. There is no income or knowledge requirement to receive assistance. Each family or caregiver is eligible to receive one cloth diaper kit per child in diapers.

What is included in a cloth diaper kit? 

You can select either a Newborn Kit which is meant for babies 6-14 lbs. or a One-Size Kit meant for babies 12-35 lbs. Want to learn more about using cloth diapers? Check out our Cloth Diaper Frequently Asked Questions page.

How long does it take to receive a kit?

About 2-3 weeks. Once we have received your application, you will be contacted by our program coordinator. We ask that each recipient either attend one of our Cloth Diaper 101 Courses, watches the recorded course or reads our Cloth Diaper 101 Packet. Once we have confirmation that you have completed that step, you're cloth diapers will be delivered or can be picked up in Salem. It usually takes 2-3 weeks to receive a cloth diaper kit. If you need your diapers before then, please notify us in your application.

    Cloth Diaper Donations

    Donate used cloth diapers to Salem Cloth Project. In order to serve the greatest number of families, we rely on cloth diaper donations. You can drop off clean, gently used cloth diapers to Family Building Blocks at 2425 Lancaster Dr. NE Salem, OR. Email us at info@salemclothproject.org with questions.
